How to send a takedown notice
Email the following to dmca@cutewallpaper.org:
- The exact page URL(s) on CuteWallpaper where the image appears (the address starting with
cutewallpaper.org/en/…). A screenshot alone is not enough — we need the link to find it. - Identification of the original work — a link to where it was first published, or another way for us to confirm it is yours.
- Your name, and an email address we can reply to.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices that include all of the above are actioned quickly, usually within a few days. Incomplete notices are answered with a request for the missing item.
Would you rather be credited?
Some creators prefer a credit line and a link over removal. If that is you, say so in your email and we will add attribution to the image page instead.
Counter-notice
If an image you believe you had the right to share was removed, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the same identifying details and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
Repeat infringement
Because this site has no user accounts or uploads, there are no “repeat infringers” in the usual sense; instead, sources that repeatedly turn out to be unauthorised are excluded from future collection.
